amazing record! tip! steyoyoke is a new berin-based house label and its first release is the three track >if i were music< ep by im fine (marco perschon & alexander grafenauer) and antonio olivieri. im fine are a production outfit who first met at berlins music engineering school, sae, and have since gone on to establish a tight working relationship and are currently working on a debut album reflecting their jazz, house and techno influences. antonio olivieri is italian born but now resides in berlin and has developed a firm reputation via releases for silicone souls darkroom dubs and lustundfreude, amongst others.

terrence parker presents music works volume # 3 (catalog pmw003)this is a special 3 track ep personally compiled by legendary detroit producer & dj terrence parker. the a-side features a classic tp remix from his former intangible records label entitled >secret fantasy< by james sims. the b-side features a funky house swing track never release on vinyl by hot new producer dj mo reese (a former detroit resident who now lives in the us city of cincinnati). also featured on the b-side is another jazz-house fusion track entitled >love 4 sale< by dj leandre of paris, france (the man who brought you soul juice). all 3 of these tracks have been specially re-edited by terrence parker in august of 2011 for this vinyl release. for fans who like tps classic 1990s sound, these tracks are guaranteed to light up the dance floor!

after two buzzing releases, senzen is quickly getting recognition it deserves. but third time is the charm, right? well, at least in this case. senzen 3 title track, >gonna b<, is based on studio sessions of label boss benno blome together with his long time friend armin engel, who has worked on projects with fela kutis band rhythm taxi & jimi tenor, and had a show on jazzradio berlin for years. the track itself has influences from both producers. tech house meets jazz, what a fascinating concept! freestyle drumming, keyboard jams and effects tied together, creating an original approach to club music. remixers of >gonna b<, marcin czubala (mobilee) and jin choi (contexterrior, private gold, archipel), are two of the hottest producers at the moment. after his excellent streak of releases on mobilee, marcin makes an outstanding debut on senzen and delivers a deeply rooted house remix concentrating on tiny tweaks and variations while carrying them solidly throughout the track. jin, on the other hand, doesn’t let functionality stand in the spotlight of his remix. his music is supposed to touch emotionally and to move the head and the body - and believe me, it does!

a debut release for both band and label, parisian duo paradis bring two eloquently produced tracks to beats in space in the form of the >parfait tirage / la ballade de jim< 12 inch (bis001). admirers from afar of dj tim sweeneys weekly on air institution of 12 years (from which the label takes its name), paradis submitted demos hoping they might hack it for some play time. reared on classical and jazz, turned young hip hop rebels, turned teen club crawlers, and then university machine tinkerers, simon meny & pierre rousseau grew out of genre jumping while young enough to stay ahead and settle into music making centered around melody and emotion.
